Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Strategy
- Own the global hardware and firmware architecture and roadmap, aligning technical direction with EDMI’s product strategy, growth ambitions, and future market needs. Set the vision for next-generation platforms and device innovation.
Hardware, Firmware & Product Engineering Leadership
- Lead and evolve EDMI’s hardware, firmware, and product engineering functions enabling strong engineering excellence and a quality-first culture. Act as the highest technical authority across product lines, ensuring scalable, sustainable, and supportable solutions.
Sustaining Engineering & Issue Resolution
- Provide executive oversight of critical field issues, firmware evolution, regulatory changes, and component obsolescence, balancing short-term delivery with long-term product health.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Software, Manufacturing, Operations, and PMO leaders to deliver integrated, end-to-end outcomes across the product lifecycle.
Business Impact & Continuous Improvement
- Own the technical performance of EDMI’s global hardware portfolio, spanning NPI to EOL. Lead the constant evolution of engineering capability, governance, and leadership to future-proof EDMI’s products and platforms.
Culture & Succession
- Role-model EDMI’s OneEDMI culture, developing future engineering leaders and building a resilient, high-performing organisation.
What we are looking out for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous)
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
- Proven leadership in engineering, R&D, or senior technical roles
- Strong experience in electronics, embedded firmware, and mechanical hardware development
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering governance
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams
