A leading aviation financing firm is seeking a Director of Finance to drive financing strategy and manage financial operations. This role involves strategic project financing, establishing partnerships with financial institutions, and ensuring compliance with international standards. The ideal candidate should have 8-10 years of relevant experience in financing management, with strong skills in negotiation and stakeholder management. An advanced degree in finance or accounting is preferred.
The Director of Finance will drive the company’s financing strategy and financial management to support sustainable growth and business expansion. This role is pivotal in securing diversified funding for aviation materials and aircraft projects, optimizing the capital structure, and ensuring compliance with international standards.
Strategic Financing
Develop and implement medium and long-term financing strategies aligned with corporate growth plans.
Assess and optimize the company’s capital structure through diversified financing methods.
Project Financing Management
Lead end-to-end financing projects, including aircraft mortgage financing, project financing, structured finance, equity financing, green credit, and ESG funds.
Ensure timely and efficient execution to meet capital needs for aircraft acquisitions and inventory management.
Institutional Partnerships
Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international banks, investment institutions, leasing companies, private equity funds, and trusts.
Establish long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships to secure diverse financing channels.
Aircraft Acquisition Financing
Design tailored financing solutions for aircraft acquisitions (including retired, small, scrapped aircraft, and engines).
Negotiate favourable terms with financial institutions and coordinate resources to ensure smooth project delivery.
Financial Systems & Risk Management
Establish and enhance financial management systems covering budgeting, cost control, fund management, and financial analysis.
Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard financial stability.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reports in line with Chinese Accounting Standards and IFRS.
Prepare and submit timely financial statements and support external audit processes.
Minimum 8 -10 years of relevant financing management experience in aviation materials, aircraft-related industries, or comparable sectors.
Proven track record in overseas aircraft financing projects, with strong strategic financing and capital operation capabilities.
Deep familiarity with diversified financing methods (structured finance, equity, ESG funds, leasing, project finance).
Strong expertise in financial management, compliance, and international-standard systems.
Experience in private equity and/or the aviation industry is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred (MBA/CFA a plus).
This role requires 15-20% of overseas travelling.
