Job description

Savills is seeking a hands-on IT Director to lead all aspects of our Singapore technology environment and a high-performing local IT team.

The role encompasses IT project management and business partnering, working closely with local leadership and Regional IT to ensure strategic alignment, governance, and return on investment. It also involves leading the Singapore IT function to deliver technology solutions that drive growth, enhance competitiveness, and support operational excellence across Savills’ businesses.

Key responsibilities

1. Strategy & Stakeholders

  • Shape a 1–3 years Singapore IT roadmap aligned to Local and Regional IT priorities; convert business goals into executable technology projects with benefits cases.

  • Act as trusted advisor to local leadership; communicate plans, risks, and value clearly; run quarterly reviews.

2. Applications & Data (personal focus area)

  • Own the local application portfolio (CRM, ERP/Finance, Property/Facilities systems, Data & Analytics AI/Copilot), rationalise overlaps and drive adoption.

  • Deliver application projects end‑to‑end: discovery, analysis, design, change management, testing, go‑live and hyper care; measure outcomes (adoption, efficiency gains, ROI, NPS).

  • Ensure system integrations leverage group data platforms and standards; improve data quality, lineage, and governance.

  • Support the delivery of technology workshops, training, improvement feedback sessions, and product reviews.

3. Service Management & Operations

  • Run reliable BAU services with ITIL processes (incident/problem/change/request), SLAs/XLAs, dashboards and PIRs.

  • Work with the regional IT technical services team to maintain modern, secure infrastructure and a well-managed user desktop environment IT service.

4. Security, Risk & Compliance

  • Embed Group/Regional policies (IT Minimum Standards, ITSM framework, Supplier Security, AI Governance).

  • Act as the local Change Advisory and lead major incident reviews; ensure audits and risk actions are closed on time.

5. People, Vendors & Budget

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi‑disciplinary local IT team; define KPIs and career paths; build a culture of accountability and service.

  • Manage suppliers and MSPs with clear SLAs, QBRs and value‑for‑money; plan and control OPEX/CAPEX.

6. M&A Integration

  • Support diligence and post‑merger integration; align new businesses quickly to Savills standards and platforms with minimal disruption.

Key relationships
  • Reports to: Singapore CEO / Director of Corporate Strategy.

  • Works closely with: Regional CIO, Local Business Unit Heads & Corporate Functions Heads, global platform owners.

Experience & qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience across applications and operations (incl. 3+ years in business partner / leadership roles).

  • Demonstrated success delivering application‑led change while maintaining stable run.

  • Strong vendor, financial and contract management.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Entra/Azure, modern data platforms, ITIL, ISO27001; property/real estate domain advantageous.

  • Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related; relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Azure, PMP/PRINCE2) welcome.
