Job description

As the Director, OCT PEE Etch/CMP/Wet at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for driving improvements and breakthroughs to manufacturing capability, delivering industry benchmark methods at lowest cost, and managing the execution of global business processes in the unit process areas of responsibility. You will execute to this by focusing on manufacturing big rock performance optimization, and ensure priorities are aligned to Micron business plan and Strategic Objective requirements across manufacturing sites.

Your objective is to leverage global internal and external resources to define and enable equipment roadmaps, execute business processes, and drive network process and equipment alignment to achieve world-class manufacturing performances. Examples include leveraging suppliers to achieve benchmark performance, discovery and implementation of equipment and process safety best methods (BKM), equipment utilization optimization, thru-put optimization, cash cost optimization, and continuous improvement project prioritization and execution to project timelines.

Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing capability and efficiency in your areas of responsibility

  • Drive sites globally to ensure alignment on strategy and roadmap to achieve area objectives ensure strategy and roadmap are aligned to improvement in big rock performance and ensure equipment roadmap is defined to meet those requirements Track alignment decisions and hold accountability to those decisions in cases where sites deviate from the roadmap/path.

  • Interface with procurement global supplier account managers to ensure technical requirements feed into procurement strategies for suppliers.

  • Interface with corporate EHSS and site Process Hazard Analysis engineers to ensure process safety requirements are met.

  • Interface with strategic suppliers to ensure priorities are aligned to operations objectives and area(s) strategy/roadmap. Leverage suppliers as resources for Operations.

  • Deliver Industry Benchmark Methods at the Lowest Cost in Your Area(s) of Responsibility

  • Execute quarterly internal benchmarking to identify gaps in performance for your area(s) of responsibility. Prioritize those gaps to meet site and corporate business plan needs, and focus resources (internally across network and/or externally with Suppliers) to close the gaps.

  • Manage and execute Tool of Record (TOR) and Manufacturing Tool Evaluation Program (MTEP) requirements to ensure Capital business process and MOR runs effectively for your area(s).

  • Manage and execute to Executive Review Meeting (ERM) priorities/projects and drive Operations Roadmap for your area(s) of responsibility Leverage suppliers to meet performance requirements.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering, technology or related field of study

Experience Required

10+ years experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry, and 4+ years at any of the following levels

  • Management/Leadership at or above Senior Manager

  • Technical experience at or above Member of Technical Staff (MTS) equivalent
