Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank Singapore is seeking a Director, AI Architecture to lead enterprise AI platform strategy, governance, and architecture across regulated environments. This role owns the foundational technology stack enabling secure, scalable AI deployment and collaborates with risk, cybersecurity, data and engineering teams.

The position demands deep expertise in distributed systems, data architecture, LLM deployment, and governance, with proven ability to set enterprise standards,

Qualifications

• Experience designing and evolving enterprise platforms that support multiple engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, state management, resiliency, and governance.
• Track record in regulated environments with security, privacy, and auditability.
• Ability to set enterprise standards, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
• Banking/financial services background adds value.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Bank's long-term AI platform strategy, architecture vision and technology roadmap.
• Establish enterprise standards, patterns and frameworks for AI platform adoption.
• Govern platform interfaces, data contracts and operational controls.
• Lead architecture reviews and design authority forums for AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity and risk teams.
• Drive governance and risk-aware deployment of AI capabilities across functions.
