Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy &Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with business and clinical stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and operationalize high-value AI use cases that enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and patient care outcomes.
  • Serve as a key bridge between business needs, data, and technology, ensuring responsible, secure, and compliant adoption of AI capabilities.
  • Conduct market sensing to stay apprised of emerging AI technologies and intelligent solutions within the healthcare industry.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and healthcare clusters with proven innovative processes and products.
AI Delivery & Portfolio Management
  • Plan, develop, implement, operate, and continuously improve AI-enabled solutions and intelligent applications across the organisation.
  • Oversee a portfolio of in-house and outsourced AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, timely delivery, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate AI initiatives across the full lifecycle, including use case identification, model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the evaluation and adoption of AI, machine learning, and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency, clinical decision support, and patient outcomes.
People & Vendor Management
  • Manage AI and application teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable AI-enabled and intelligent solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative, learning-oriented environment that encourages innovation, responsible AI adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training in AI platforms, data-driven solutions, and MLOps practices.
  • Manage outsourced AI vendors and solution partners, ensuring compliance with business requirements, regulatory standards, ethical AI principles, timelines, and quality expectations.
Governance, Operations & Compliance
  • Maintain AI governance processes, including model risk management, data quality controls, bias monitoring, explainability, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g. PDPA).
  • Oversee day-to-day AI solution operations, including model performance monitoring, incident management, retraining cycles, and issue escalation.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date technical, model, and operational documentation to support governance, audits, transparency, and knowledge transfer.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in AI and related technologies, particularly within the healthcare sector.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Proven experience leading AI, analytics, or intelligent application initiatives, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle management, MLOps, data governance, and ethical AI principles.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
