We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Digital Platform Strategy and Governance Lead.
In this role you will
- Own the strategic planning, sequencing, and investment prioritisation across Digital Platforms
- Lead Functional Governance for Digital Platforms, embedding robust controls, standards, and risk/governance processes.
- Provide business management oversight across Digital Platforms organisation including managing FRP, budget, tracking actuals/variance, and producing accurate MI for leadership.
- Drive operational excellence across Digital Platforms forums, including senior steering committees, Exco forums, CEO update and sponsor sessions.
- Govern the Digital Platforms Portfolio, ensuring smooth delivery of initiatives, timely escalation of capability change requests and alignment to HSBC Change & Risk Policy frameworks.
- Lead a Global PMO team, ensuring alignment with Digital Platforms programme standards, pipeline planning, resource tracking and executive MI.
- Facilitate programme & Value Stream level reporting - this is expected to include executive level reporting to the programme sponsor, key business stakeholders and other bodies / forums within the Group.
- Stakeholder management. Digital Platforms scope spans multiple geographies and impacts multiple areas of the WPB business. The role-holder will be expected to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful you will need
- Proven experience in large-scale programme delivery, portfolio governance and operation control, ideally within a Digital or Technology environment.
- Strong problem-solving and executive-level influencing skills, with the ability to independently shape recommendations.
- Experience operating in global or regional roles, working across matrixed environments with business product, technology, and finance stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), including building concise C-suite level presentations and updates.
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, able to navigate competing priorities and drive alignment across teams.
- Experience with risk, compliance, and audit standards with a disciplined approach to controls, reporting accuracy and evidence management.
