Job summary

Prudential Hong Kong Limited seeks a Senior Enterprise Architect to shape the long-term platform strategy and lead end-to-end architecture across systems. You will drive cloud-native design, microservices, and secure, scalable solutions in collaboration with global teams.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent stakeholder engagement, and hands-on experience with design patterns and DevOps governance. Singapore-based with broad business impact across Asia.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Architecture leader with 7–10 years total experience.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology solutions.
• Experience with cloud engineering and SRE concepts (Azure preferred).
• Strong knowledge of modern design patterns including microservices and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and high-/low-level designs for multiple systems in line with group strategy.
• Lead the preparation of detailed design specs for development and modification of applications.
• Define integration patterns and ensure adoption of defined solutions with governance around security, availability and performance.
• Collaborate with Technology & Digital teams to develop system integration plans and review progress.
• Provide technical expertise to enable application design and iteration; engage senior stakeholders on strategic plans.

Job Description Envision and develop the long-term architectural direction, with emphasis on platforms / product reusable components Formulate the PACS Infrastructure policy, framework and design Build future state architecture to encompass business strategy with design consideration of convergence, modernization, cost efficiency, business functionality, interpretability, cloud native design, resilience, security and future proofing. Identify and evaluate alternative design options and trade-offs to handle both functional and non-functional requirements; Recommend designs that consider current applications & architecture, operating models as well as end target state architecture Responsible for end to end architecture, high- & low-level designs of various systems and applications in line group strategy; Lead the preparation of detailed design specifications to form the basis for development & modification of applications; Define integration patterns Ensure adoption and implementation of defined solutions; Provide technical expertise to enable the application design & iteration; Collaborates with other Technology & Digital teams to develop and agree system integration plans and review progress Ensure that the collaborative nature of capabilities such as design and engineering is coupled with tight governance around non-negotiables like security, availability and performance.

Who we are looking for:

Technical Skills & work experience: Proven experience as an Architecture leader with overall experience between 7 - 10 years Demonstrated ability to understand business strategy & processes & its successful translation into technology solutions Experience with cloud engineering, SRE (preferably Azure) Hands-on experience with software development and system administration Excellent knowledge of technical architecture and modern design patterns, including microservices, serverless functions, data and AI etc. Deep End-to-End Architecture understanding Experienced in streaming technology or frameworks Familiar with one or more Architecture Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF etc.) Good understanding of DevOps Personal Traits: Exceptional team player Strong communication skills & ability to engage senior stakeholders on strategic plans Ability to lead committees and provide timely status updates Excellent problem analysis skills. Innovative and creative in developing solutions Ability and willingness to be hands-on Strong attention to details Ability to work independently
