Job description
Scope Summary
  • Managing the production of prefabricated MEP modules in a factory setting
  • Ensuring quality control and compliance with standards and specifications
  • Coordinating with design teams, contractors and suppliers
  • Supervising the delivery and installation of MEP modules on site
  • Troubleshooting any issues or defects that arise during or after assembly
Detailed Scope
  1. Manage Prefabrication Factory/Yard reporting to Project Director, overseeing prefabrication production of MEP modules and manpower planning.
  2. Ensure that MEP design and construction processes are in line with the latest developments in technology and software, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM). Keep abreast of the latest technological developments and advancements in the MEP industry, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the production process.
  3. Develop and implement processes and procedures that are compliant with industry standards and best practices, including those set by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and other relevant regulatory bodies. Implement Building Information Modelling (BIM) to Field technology, which involves the use of 3D modelling software and mobile devices to facilitate communication and collaboration between the design team and the production team.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest technological developments in MEP design and construction, including automation, prefabrication, and modular construction techniques.
  5. Develop and implement strategies for the use of technology and digital tools, including BIM software, to improve the efficiency and accuracy of MEP design and construction processes.
  6. Ensure that all MEP design and construction activities are carried out in accordance with relevant safety and environmental regulations and standards.
  7. Collaborate with other stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall building design and construction process.
  8. Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all relevant stakeholders, including MEP design and construction teams, are up-to-date with the latest technological developments and best practices. Develop and implement training programs for employees to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to work with new technologies and methods.
  9. Implement quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure that MEP systems meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  10. Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure that MEP systems are delivered on time and within budget.
  11. Monitor and report on the performance of MEP systems, using data analytics and other tools to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  12. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders in the MEP design and construction process.
  13. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sustainability and green building practices, and ensure that MEP systems are designed and constructed with sustainability in mind.
  14. Ensure that all MEP design and construction activities are carried out with the highest levels of professionalism and ethical standards.
  15. Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure that MEP systems are tested and commissioned to the highest standards, and that all relevant documentation and certification is in place.
  16. Ensure that all MEP design and construction activities are carried out in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and codes of practice.
  17. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production processes and outcomes, and use data analytics and other tools to monitor and optimize performance.
  18. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization, encouraging employees to identify opportunities for improvement and to share their ideas and insights with the broader team.
  19. Establish and maintain partnerships with technology providers and other industry stakeholders to leverage their expertise and resources in the development and implementation of new technologies and methods.
  20. Implement Lean Management principles, which involve the optimization of processes and the elimination of waste, to improve productivity and efficiency in the production process.
  21. Implement Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) methods like IOT implementation, which enable the seamless sharing of information and data between different stakeholders in the construction process, including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical engineering and related specialist diploma in DFMA, SDCP or BIM
  • Safety certified, minimum Bizsafe level 2
  • 3 years or more working experience in related fields preferred
  • Good language capability (English) both in written and spoken
  • Strong independence and leadership in teamwork environment.
  • Fresh graduate may apply.
  • Knowledge in BIM and experiences in MEP prefabrication are added advantage
