DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a mid-level to experienced DevOps Engineer to manage CI / CD pipelines, application deployments, and Kubernetes administration for our infrastructure projects. This role is technically focused, ensuring reliable and efficient software delivery for on-premises environments, including air-gapped deployments in Singapore’s critical road tunnel and highway infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage CI / CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent systems.
  • Automate build, testing, and deployment processes to enhance software delivery reliability and speed.
  • Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters, primarily on-premise, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Manage application releases, deployments, updates, rollbacks, and environment-specific configurations.
  • Implement and manage automated deployment processes using tools like ArgoCD.
  • Utilize infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) to provision, configure, and manage system infrastructure efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers and system engineers to streamline application deployments, configuration management, and infrastructure integration.
  • Actively troubleshoot production deployment issues, providing timely resolutions and continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of pipelines, cluster configurations, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
  • Provide technical reports and status updates on deployment activities and infrastructure health.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) managing CI / CD pipelines and Kubernetes clusters in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CI / CD pipeline tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar systems.
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies, particularly Docker.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals relevant to Kubernetes and containerized applications, such as load balancing, service meshes, ingress controllers, and network policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, especially related to container orchestration, deployment issues, and infrastructure automation.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to work closely with software development and infrastructure teams.
What else do I need to know?
  • You will be a part of a geographically distributed team.
  • Occasional on-site presence required for interface verification and commissioning activities, including nighttime deployments.
