Job summary

INNERGY CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the regional IT infrastructure team. The role focuses on designing, deploying and optimising cloud infrastructure, containerised applications and CI/CD pipelines primarily in Microsoft Azure.

You will manage AKS clusters, databases, and implement IaC with Terraform while contributing to security and observability across environments. 24x7 on-call support is required as part of the rotation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience, preferably with software teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage and optimise Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Manage AKS clusters, including deployment, scaling and monitoring.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Deploy and monitor Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect across SaaS/PaaS environments.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions for system performance, availability and alerting.
• Integrate DevSecOps tools for vulnerability scanning and code quality checks.
• Apply cloud security standards and best practices across infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve release processes, troubleshoot incidents and implement solutions.
• Support infrastructure projects and other operational initiatives as required.
• Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call escalation rotation, including evenings, overnight, weekends and public holidays when required.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the regional IT infrastructure team for one of our global logistics clients. In this role, you will support the design, deployment and optimisation of cloud infrastructure, containerised applications and CI/CD pipelines, primarily within the Microsoft Azure environment. The ideal person should have hands on experience in managing cloud and containerised environments, and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage and optimise Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, including application deployment, scaling and monitoring.
• Manage SQL and MongoDB databases, including backup, scaling and performance optimisation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Deploy and monitor Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect across SaaS/PaaS environments.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell and other scripting languages.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience, preferably working closely with software development teams.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud and containerised environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Experience with Kubernetes / AKS and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and open-source technologies.
• Scripting and automation skills using Bash, PowerShell or similar languages.
• Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call support.

Good to Have

• Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform or monitoring-related certifications.
• Knowledge of .NET, Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with Datadog and Snyk.
• Experience with Apache Kafka / Kafka Connect.
• Exposure to DevSecOps, vulnerability management and code quality tools.
