CRITERIA:Current students studying in Universitieswhich are based in Singapore
INTERNSHIP DURATION:The internship will begin on either 4 Jan 2027, and will end on 28 May 2027. There is an option to extend the internship, with the extended period concluding on a fixed date of 6 Aug 2027.
The Singapore Optics Lab is bringing up a new set of optics and laser characterization tools. The intern will work with the lab team to qualify selected instruments and accessories, establish baseline test methods, and create repeatable workflows for optical component and electro-optical device characterization. The average day may include equipment setup, sample or reference-device preparation, measurement execution, data review, script development, troubleshooting, and documentation. The project will emphasize safe laboratory practices, traceable results, and methods that can be transferred to future users.
By the end of the term, the intern is expected to deliver a characterized subset of the laboratory toolchain, validated measurement workflows, reusable data-analysis or automation scripts where practical, and a concise technical report summarizing performance, limitations, and recommended next steps.
