Job summary

A leading salvage company in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Support professional to serve as the first point of contact for users in the region. You will handle troubleshooting and resolve issues related to hardware and software, support mobile technologies, and manage IT projects. Ideal candidates should have over 5 years of experience in Desktop support and be familiar with Windows, Azure AD, and Cybersecurity best practices. This role may require working evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Preferred 5+ years’ experience in a Desktop support role.
  • Support of Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with desktop and laptop hardware configuration.

Responsibilities

Job description

A critical first line support role assisting T&T Salvage Asia with Global IT Support. This role will provide support in the following areas: Desktop, Networking, printing, and mobile & telephony environments.

Responsibilities (IT Support)
  • Be the first point of contact for all users in the Singapore region for any IT related issues or questions.
  • Working as part of the global IT department, adhering to corporate standards across all technologies.
  • Direct knowledge of account administration by creating user accounts and email accounts using Active Directory, Azure AD and other systems.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and resolve end user problems relating to Remote support, VPN, and computer hardware/software issues.
  • Install and configure new end-user workstations and laptops and install hardware/software upgrades.
  • Understanding of mobile phone technologies, carriers, and deployment methods.
  • Cybersecurity focused with an Understanding of virus and malicious software removal techniques and best practices.
  • Participate and manage projects for rollout of new hardware/software, office expansions, new offices, etc.
  • Proactive monitoring of all IT systems.
  • Make recommendations to management for technical and process improvements.
  • Experience with remote access technologies.
  • Accepting, reviewing, and completing issues via a ticketing system.
  • Assist in project work to roll out new technologies.
  • Must be a self-starter that has an interest in constantly learning and accepting developmental feedback.
  • Act as the Data Protection Officer for the company.
  • Any other duties as and when required.
Experience Required
  • Preferred 5+ years’ experience in a Desktop support role
  • Support of Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android in an enterprise environment
  • Desktop and laptop hardware configuration
  • Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange, RMM, EDR, Knowledge of Windows Imaging

· Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

· Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

· Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

· Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as necessary.

· Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Spends time physically, walking, lifting, and performing routine installation and maintenance of equipment along with inspections.
