Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all design activities across civil, structural, architectural, and M&E disciplines to meet project and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, design teams, BIM modellers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and close design gaps.
• Review and validate design drawings, calculations, and submissions prior to client or authority approval.
• Oversee design schedules to ensure all deliverables are completed according to project milestones.
• Manage design change requests (DCRs), RFIs, and engineering clarifications arising from construction needs.
• Interface with LTA, consultants, and authorities for design submissions, approvals, and technical discussions.
• Ensure designs incorporate constructability, safety requirements, and compliance with local codes and standards.
• Support the site team by addressing design-related issues and providing technical solutions when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognized by the PE Board (or equivalent approval).
• Minimum 12 years of civil engineering experience, with significant exposure to major infrastructure or LTA/MRT projects.
• At least 8 years of experience managing civil and structural designs for large-scale transport or viaduct/station projects.
• Strong understanding of LTA design standards, authority submission processes, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Proficient in reviewing multi-disciplinary designs, including BIM coordination (Revit / Navisworks).
• Experienced in handling temporary works, staging concepts, and interface coordination across disciplines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage design teams and liaise with client stakeholders.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple design packages simultaneously.
