Job summary

A construction solutions company in Singapore is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to coordinate design drawings and oversee a team of BIM Modelers. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, relevant experience, and the ability to work independently while liaising with multiple stakeholders. This role requires strong technical problem-solving skills and familiarity with both British and Singapore design standards.

Qualifications

• Possess relevant design experience with contractors.
• Preferably a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore.
• At least 3 years of working experience is required.
• Conversant in British and Singapore Design Standards.
• Independent, analytical, and motivated with team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design drawings with consultants to meet authority requirements.
• Review and resolve technical problems, monitoring drawing production.
• Prepare technical submissions for materials and construction methods.
• Liaise with architectural and M&E teams to resolve construction issues.
• Supervise BIM Modelers in producing coordinated shop drawings.

Overview

Our client is in construction industry (Grade A1 Contractor/ Class 1 General Builder) and they provide full suite of integrated construction services and solutions in both the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design drawings with consultants to comply with requirements of the authorities.
• Review and provide solutions to technical problems as well as plan, monitor and report shop drawing production progress.
• Prepare technical submissions for materials, construction methods and C&S shop drawings.
• Resolve construction issues on drawings and liaise closely with Architectural and M&E teams as well as the authorities.
• Supervise a team of BIM Modelers for the production of coordinated shop drawings and Concrete Body Plans

Qualifications

• Possess Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering with relevant design working experience with contractors
• Preferably a Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers (PE) Board, Singapore
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Be conversant in British and Singapore Design Standards
• Be independent, analytical, highly motivated with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills
