Job summary

LYS ENERGY SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an engineering professional to support both Business Development and Project teams in renewable projects. The role involves tender preparation, site surveys, and technical analyses to drive successful bids and execution.

You will engage in design calculations, liaise with clients and authorities, and contribute to procurement with technical input, ensuring compliance with standards and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have a diploma or degree in engineering; electrical background advantageous.
• At least 2 years of working experience in renewable industry.
• Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation and applying requirements to design effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Business Development team in tender and proposal submissions.
• Assist and support the Project team in project execution, including shop drawings and design calculations.
• Review shop drawings and proposals from contractors or vendors for compliance with authority requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with consultants and authorities for design approvals; provide engineering support to project teams.
• Assist in procurement with technical input and liaise with vendors for up-to-date information.
• Provide ad hoc engineering support to regional teams.

Job description

What you'll be doing

• 1. Assist and support the Business Development team in tender and proposal submissions.
• • Conduct site surveys and prepare feasibility study reports
• • Perform technical assessment such as Shading analysis, PVSyst simulation, consumption analysis and etc.
• • Prepare tender documents for submission
• • Prepare cost estimates for commercial proposals
• 2. Assist and support the Project team in project execution.
• • Prepare shopdrawing and design calculation report such as cable sizing and etc.
• • Liaise with client regarding technical requirements
• • Coordinate with consultants and authorities for design approvals
• • Provide technical support and engineering advice to the project team
• • Support the project team with technical advice for the installation team
• 3. Review shop drawings and proposals from contractors or vendors and provide comments in accordance with authority requirements and local/international standards
• 4. Evaluate the contractor’s performance in terms of design and installation as part of the quality control process
• 5. Understand the technologies and products available in the renewable market and provide support to other teams
• 6. Follow up on authority requirements and ensure solutions comply with it
• 7. Support the company’s ISO management system by understanding requirements and providing the necessary documents
• 8. Assist in the procurement process and provide technical input.
• 9. Provide engineering support to other regional teams
• 10. Liaise with new and existing vendors/suppliers to obtain pricelists and up-to-date product and service information with the procurement team
• 11. Liaise with other teams to gather feedback on design and costing for continuous improvement
• 12. Provide ad hoc engineering support to other regions within exploration
  

What we're looking for

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering field (Electrical engineering background would be an advantage)
• At least 2 years of working experience in renewable industry
• Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation and adept at applying requirements to design effectively
• Familiar with Autocad, PVSyst and Sketchup
• Quick learner, goal-oriented team player with strong communication and troubleshooting skills
