Job summary

OpenSource Technologies Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Design Architect / Technical Project Consultant to act as the technical authority for a major defence account, providing architecture governance, leadership, and project oversight.

You will lead design reviews, validate designs against security and operational requirements, mentor engineers, and support vulnerability management across projects. You will drive PDR/CDR governance, review complex solutions, guide remediation, and ensure delivery

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in technical design, architecture, system integration, or infrastructure engineering.
• Professional certifications in architecture, data networking, cybersecurity, cloud or infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with servers, storage, virtualization/cloud, and backup solutions.
• Experience in defence-related environments.
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and remediation.
• Stakeholder management and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently; security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture governance, technical leadership, and escalation support.
• Lead Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
• Review and approve technical designs for compliance with requirements.
• Validate MOPs prior to implementation.
• Conduct POC activities and solution demonstrations.
• Offer architectural guidance for complex infrastructure and system solutions.
• Serve as Level 3 escalation point for incidents and issues.

1. Job Summary

The Design Architect / Technical Project Consultant serves as the technical authority for a major defence account, providing architecture governance, technical leadership, project oversight, and escalation support. The role is responsible for ensuring solution designs meet operational, security, and business requirements while driving technical excellence across engineering teams. The incumbent will lead design reviews, validate implementation methodologies, mentor engineers, oversee vulnerability management activities, and contribute to the successful delivery of medium to large-scale projects.

2. Job Description

• Architecture and Design Governance
• Lead and chair all Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
• Review, evaluate, and approve technical solution designs to ensure compliance with customer, operational, and security requirements.
• Validate all Method of Procedures (MOPs) prior to implementation.
• Conduct technical proof-of-concept (POC) activities and solution demonstrations for customers and stakeholders.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical recommendations for complex infrastructure and system solutions.
• Technical Leadership and Escalation Management
• Act as the Level 3 technical escalation point within the service tower for complex incidents and technical issues.
• Provide expert technical consultation and troubleshooting support to engineering teams.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for critical incidents.
• Review bug reports, firmware updates, security advisories, and vulnerability assessments to determine operational impact and remediation strategies.
• Project Delivery and Consultancy
• Contribute technical expertise to projects involving complex systems, methodologies, and specialized technologies.
• Participate in the planning, design, implementation, and transition of medium to large-scale projects.
• Ensure technical deliverables are aligned with project objectives, scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical oversight throughout project execution.

3. Job Requirement:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline with minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in technical design, architecture, system integration, or infrastructure engineering.
• Relevant professional certifications in architecture, data networking (Cisco/ Alcatel Lucent, Firewalls (Checkpoint/ Palo Alto/ Fortinet firewall), cybersecurity, cloud, or infrastructure technologies.
• Conversant in multiple system products and solutions including server, storage, virtualization / cloud infrastructure, backup solutions, etc
• Experienced supporting large enterprise or defence-related environments.
• Knowledge in Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation
• Experience in SI environment preferred

• Required to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Self-driven and motivated individual is required.
• Due to project requirements, security clearance will be needed.
