About the Role

The Derivative Sales Associate will play a pivotal role in expanding Coinbase’s institutional and VIP trading business across APAC. You’ll be responsible for driving derivative product adoption among high-volume traders, assisting in client management, and helping to execute our regional growth strategy.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role best suited to someone who thrives on building relationships, delivering strategic value, and driving revenue in a fast-growing market.

What You’ll Do
  • Promote Coinbase Advanced derivatives to VIP traders across APAC
  • Support senior sales in handling key accounts and nurturing new leads
  • Contribute to strategy and execution of APAC & international VIP sales initiatives
  • Enhance internal CRM and sales processes to scale operations
  • Attend in-person or virtual client meetings and help coordinate client-facing events
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive product development and marketing initiatives
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years in sales, trading, account management, or business development—ideally at a top-tier investment bank or cryptocurrency exchange
  • Deep understanding of crypto derivatives and traditional financial products
  • Existing relationships with large-volume crypto or institutional traders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding targets in past roles
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30%) within APAC when required
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Nice to Have
  • Experience in asset management, hedge funds, brokerage, or prime services
  • Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean language fluency (business-level or higher)
  • Relationships with HNWIs/UHNWIs in APAC
  • Passion for crypto and enthusiasm for the industry's future
