Job summary

A global airline caterer and logistics provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced logistics manager to oversee operations, manage inventory, and coordinate with third-party logistics partners. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in logistics, including managerial experience, and a strong background in warehouse operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and contribute to operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years' experience in logistics or distribution, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, transport planning, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with working with 3PL providers would be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, order fulfilment, and warehouse operations.
  • Monitor service levels, delivery timelines, and product quality to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure all operations comply with company policies and safety standards.
  • Work with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to manage storage, transport, and special orders.
  • Supervise and guide warehouse and transport team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations
    • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, order fulfilment, and warehouse operations.
    • Monitor service levels, delivery timelines, and product quality to meet customer expectations.
    • Ensure all operations comply with company policies and safety standards.
  • Inventory & Shelf Life Management
    • Oversee stock accuracy and reconciliation processes.
    • Monitor product shelf life and coordinate with sales teams and 3PL partners to avoid expired stock.
    • Support cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • 3PL & Vendor Coordination
    • Work with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to manage storage, transport, and special orders.
    • Monitor and track 3PL performance against agreed KPIs and resolve operational issues promptly.
    • Assist in contract management and ensure vendors meet compliance and audit requirements.
  • Cost & Efficiency
    • Assist in managing transportation, storage, and container planning costs.
    • Identify and suggest operational improvements to reduce cost and improve workflow.Support projects to optimise the warehouse and fulfilment network.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and guide warehouse and transport team.
    • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback.
    • Coordinate resources and schedules to meet operational needs.
  • Reporting & Tracking
    • Monitor daily KPIs and operational scorecards.
    • Prepare reports on performance, cost, and service metrics for review
    • Highlight issues and recommend corrective actions.
Key Requirements
  • Qualifications & Experience
    • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
    • At least 8 years' experience in logistics or distribution, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in warehouse operations, transport planning, and inventory management.
    • Familiarity with working with 3PL providers would be preferred.
    • Proficient in MS Office; ERP/WMS experience.
