Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks a Contract Manager with at least 5 years of experience in main contractor companies. The role involves preparing cost comparisons, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth claims processes. Candidates should have a degree in Building and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork and independence are key.

Qualifications

  • 5 years and above experience as Contract Manager in main-con companies.
  • Proven ability in contract negotiation, administration & variation orders.
  • Able to work independently, be meticulous and proactive under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze cost comparison.
  • Obtain quotations, liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Measure quantities and take off.
  • Work closely with project managers and clients to address claims.
  • Deal with contractual issues between contractors and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze cost comparison
  • Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
  • Works closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Client / Client Representatives and Sub-Contractors to accurately arrive with progress claims and variation claims.
  • Deals with contractual issues between main contractor and client, and those between main contractor and sub-contractors
  • Ensures progressive claims are promptly put up to the client through accurate measurement of actual works accomplished.
  • Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
  • All other QS related job

Job Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Building or its equivalent
  • 5 years and above experience as Contract Manager in main-con companies
  • Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
  • Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
