Our client is seeking a Deputy Contracts Manager to join their team

What you'll be doing?
  • Lead commercial operations: Manage and guide a team on commercial and operational matters, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Evaluate and negotiate: Conduct thorough evaluations, value engineering, and cost/scope negotiations for procurement, making strategic recommendations for awards.
  • Administer contracts: Handle contract administration, provide expert contractual advice, and effectively manage and resolve contractual issues as they arise.
  • Manage financial aspects: Evaluate and certify progress claims, variation claims, payments, and final account settlements for both Main and Sub-Contracts.
  • Control project finances: Monitor and manage project cash flow, budgeting, and cost control to ensure financial success.
  • Collaborate across teams: Liaise closely with Project Teams, Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and maintain positive relationships.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational background: Candidates with a recognized Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Contract expertise: Proficiency in industry contractual practices and familiarity with various standard forms of contracts such as REDAS, SIA, and PSSCOC.
  • Relevant experience: Minimum of 10 years' relevant working experience, with at least 5 years with a Main Contractor. Experience in residential, commercial, and/or institutional projects is preferred.
