Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced professional to lead and manage a team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include managing procurement processes, administering contracts, and overseeing project financials. Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a managerial role. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Lead and manage a team in all commercial and operational aspects, including:

• Evaluating, value engineering, negotiating, and recommending awards for procurement of works and services
• Administering contracts, providing contractual advice, and resolving related issues
• Assessing and certifying main and sub-contract progress claims, variations, and final account settlements
• Overseeing project cash flow, budgeting, and cost control measures
• Liaising with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of industry contractual practices and standard forms of contract such as REDAS, SIA, and PSSCOC
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a main contractor; experience in residential, commercial, and/or institutional projects preferred
• Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a Manager role
• Excellent written, communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Articulate, detail-oriented, and digitally savvy
