Main Responsibilities and Duties
The Deputy CEO supports the Chief Executive Officer in overseeing and managing the company’s support functions, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and sustainability. This role provides strategic leadership and operational management across Finance, Human Resources, IT & Infrastructure, Procurement, Legal & Compliance, Corporate Procedures, and Risk Management.
Key qualifications
- Strategic Leadership & Support
- Partner with the CEO in driving the company’s strategy, corporate agenda, and business plan.
- Act as a key representative of the company with stakeholders, regulators, government agencies, industry bodies, and partners.
- Provide executive leadership and decision-making support to the CEO.
2. Corporate Affairs
- Lead corporate communications, government relations, and stakeholder engagement to enhance the company’s reputation and influence.
- Manage corporate governance, board relations, and investor relations in collaboration with the CEO.
- Oversee CSR, sustainability, and community engagement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of corporate affairs strategy with business and regulatory priorities.
3. Finance Leadership
- Oversee financial management, planning, budgeting, and reporting in compliance with international and local standards.
- Lead initiatives to optimize capital structure, investment efficiency, and financial performance.
- Provide financial insights to support corporate strategy, risk management, and decision-making.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
4. Human Resources & Organization Development
- Oversee HR strategy including talent acquisition, performance management, training, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
5. Systems, IT & Infrastructure
- Ensure IT systems, digital platforms, and infrastructure are robust, secure, and future-ready.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance business operations.
6. Procurement & Administration
- Ensure efficient, transparent procurement processes and supplier relationship management.
- Oversee administrative services supporting operational needs.
7. Legal, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Oversee contracts, legal risk assessment, and enterprise risk frameworks.
- Lead enterprise-wide risk management and mitigation strategies.
8. Corporate Policies & Procedures
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure consistency, transparency, and efficiency in company operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience with at least 7 years in senior management roles within trading, investment, or financial services sectors.
- Proven track record in managing multi-functional support areas (Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Risk).
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and international business standards.
