A central bank in Singapore is seeking a skilled individual for an investigative role in the Banking and Insurance Investigations Division. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and strong analytical and communication skills, with a keen interest in financial crime investigations. You will conduct investigations and support litigation in regulatory matters while managing multiple stakeholder needs in a dynamic environment. This role offers a unique chance to understand the financial services sector's regulations and operations.
You will be a member of the Banking and Insurance Investigations Division (“BID”) of the Enforcement Department. BID is responsible for investigating and enforcing breaches of the laws administered by MAS such as the Financial Services and Markets Act, Banking Act, Insurance Act, Payments Services Act etc. Given the MAS-CAD joint investigation, you will also be gazetted as a Commercial Affairs Officer with criminal investigative power.
You can expect to be challenged intellectually and professionally as you work closely with other investigators, legal officers, as well as internal stakeholders to carry out investigations. You will provide litigation support in regulatory appeals and prosecution. You will gain insight into how the financial services sector in Singapore operates, and the rules and regulations at work, as you play an important role in MAS' enhanced enforcement regime.
