Dental Surgery Assistant
- Provide chairside assistance to the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon during consultations and surgical procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment and materials before procedures
- Ensure proper sterilisation, disinfection and infection control protocols are followed
- Handle suctioning, retracting, passing instruments and mixing materials during procedures
- Take and update patient medical history and assist with pre-operative assessments
- Provide pre‑ and post‑operative instructions to patients and caregivers
- Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and follow‑up arrangements
- Maintain clinic inventory, monitor stock levels, and replenish materials as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, payment collection and documentation
- Support overall clinic operations and perform any ad‑hoc duties as required
Requirements
- GCE O-Level / NITEC / Higher NITEC or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant / Dental Surgery Assistant is a MUST
- Experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is an advantage
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilisation and infection control practices
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment and multitask effectively
- Professional, patient‑focused and willing to learn
Customer Service Officer
- Manage front‑desk duties including patient registration, check‑in, and queue coordination
- Handle phone and walk‑in enquiries regarding appointments, procedures, and clinic services
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, follow‑ups, and reminders
- Assist patients with billing, payment collection, Medisave/insurance documentation (if applicable)
- Provide information and guide patients through clinic processes in a clear and reassuring manner
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the clinic system
- Coordinate with dental surgery assistants and clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparation of documents
- Uphold high standards of service and professionalism in a specialist clinical environment
- Perform ad‑hoc duties assigned by the clinic manager or doctor
