Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore seeks an experienced Construction Supervisor for marine projects. The role oversees project execution, coordinates with stakeholders, and ensures quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering, has at least 5 years of experience in marine construction, and is comfortable working on vessels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD is required.

Qualifications

  • Min 5 years of experience in Marine Construction and Civil Engineering.
  • Familiarity with hydrographic surveys and offshore construction methodologies.
  • Must be comfortable working on vessels for extended durations.

Responsibilities

Job description
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and supervise marine construction projects till completion.
  • Oversee and supervise the rock placing in marine construction.
  • Oversee the supervise the sand filling in marine construction using marine barge / vessel.
  • Coordinate and monitor the reclamation work in the project and at the material supply source.
  • Liaise with client, other relevant authorities, consultants, and other external and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of the project.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the marine and land survey team.
  • Coordinate and supervise the subcontractors and direct construction workers.
  • Monitor, review and report the work progress to immediate superior daily.
  • Implement and monitor safety matters in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring good QA/QC at the project.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma holder in Civil Engineering.
  • Min 5 years’ experience in Marine Construction and Civil Engineering works (preferably in reclamation, bund construction or dredging projects).
  • Familiarity with hydrographic surveys, marine traffic management, and offshore construction methodologies, and vessel works planning (e.g., anchoring, positioning).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and relevant construction planning / management software.
  • Fast learning and understanding the process of marine construction.
  • Leadership and coordination skills.
  • Ability to communicate and work with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Positively work with the management and operation team.
  • Must be comfortable working on vessels for extended durations.
  • Able to rotate between day shift and night shift as required.
  • Able to work in Tuas
