Store Operations Responsibilities
- Must be ready to work physically to carry provisionals, groceries and vegetables from wholesale vendor delivery to store room, then shift items from store room to display rack for customers (weekends and public holidays)
- Receiving provisionals, groceries and vegetables from wholesale supplier and arranging them properly
- Loading and unloading provisionals, groceries and vegetables
- Helping customers locate provisionals, groceries and vegetables; if needed bringing items to their trolley
- Ensuring shelves and product displays remain stocked
- Replenishing products onto display shelves and areas as assigned
- Checking and accounting for damaged stocks, tabulating balance stocks, tidying up item displays
- Welcoming customers to the store and answering their queries
Promotional and Sales Support
- Create a variety of ongoing promotional activities to increase revenues, such as daily specials, coupons, discounts, and a loyalty program that encourages repeat dining
- Train wait staff to upsell appetizers, desserts and drinks
- Develop larger business opportunities such as group sales, off‑site catering, proprietary/private‑label sauce, delivery service and corporate events
Marketing & Sales Management Responsibilities
- Accomplish marketing and sales human‑resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
- Achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer‑service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change
- Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
