Job summary

Wintermute is seeking a motivated researcher to join our DeFi team in a full-time capacity in Singapore. You will study on-chain protocols and run data-driven experiments to deepen our understanding of decentralized finance, while collaborating with traders and developers across multiple codebases.

The role emphasizes a hands-on, analytical approach, leveraging Rust or Python, Linux, Git, and Foundry to explore protocol design space and market microstructure.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Rust or Python.
• Comfortable with Linux environments and Git.
• Experience with statistical analysis and quantitative skills.
• Understanding of high-frequency market making strategies.
• Knowledge of blockchain fundamentals and EVM mechanics.
• Familiarity with smart contract development and Foundry.
• A passion for protocol microstructure and design mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Research on-chain protocols and run data-driven experiments to advance DeFi understanding.
