Job summary

Argyll Scott is hiring a Microsoft Defender for Servers Engineer to join our technology consulting division in Singapore. You will join as a consultant on a 6-month project with a global healthcare and medical technology group headquartered in Japan, migrating servers to Defender for Servers via Azure Arc and retiring SentinelOne.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you own onboarding waves, fix issues, and hand over a stable platform to the support team, collaborating with the project

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure, server administration or security engineering.
• Hands-on deployment of Defender for Servers or Defender for Endpoint on servers, ideally with Azure Arc.
• Security agent rollout across 1,000+ servers; examples include SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Trend Micro or Symantec.
• Strong Windows Server, practical Linux, PowerShell, and KQL.
• Comfortable working independently across countries and time zones.
• Japanese language and Microsoft security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Onboard servers to Microsoft Defender for Servers across waves and validate each with platform evidence.
• Install, configure and register servers in Azure Arc; resolve connectivity, proxy, authentication and extension issues.
• Sequence SentinelOne removal against Defender activation to ensure continuous protection.
• Troubleshoot agent, policy and configuration issues on Windows and Linux.
• Plan change windows with IT teams across countries/time zones; escalate to Microsoft support when needed.
• Report onboarding status with PowerShell and KQL; write runbooks and handover documents.
