Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a Decision Support Data Scientist within the Manufacturing Analytics and Strategy Execution team. You will develop and validate insights to support management decisions, applying statistics, forecasting, ML/AI, and strong business understanding to strengthen manufacturing performance.

You will build visualisations, driver analyses, scenarios, and early-warning signals, translating operational questions into actionable analyses while collaborating with senior data scientists

Qualifications

• Ability to translate operational questions into analytical tasks and success criteria.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and validation of Control Tower insights and forecasts.
• Translate operational questions into clear analytical tasks, hypotheses, data needs, and success criteria.
• Develop decision-support analyses across productivity, throughput, capacity, yield, and risk.
• Define KPI logic, baselines, targets, thresholds, and interpretation.
• Apply statistics, forecasting, diagnostic analytics, ML/AI with guidance.
• Prepare visualisations, narratives, and scenario implications for decision-makers.
• Build and test analytical prototypes using Python, SQL, R, BI tools, and cloud tech; document methods and validations.
