Job summary

A leading professional services firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced candidate for a role in their Valuations practice. This position involves performing independent valuations of businesses and financial instruments, while also producing financial models and managing client relationships. Ideal applicants will possess a degree in Accounting or Business and have 6 to 10 years of relevant experience, particularly in business valuation. Strong financial modeling skills and effective communication with clients are crucial for success in this role.

Our team helps organisations unlock greater deal value by providing robust value opinions and transaction model business advisory. As part of the team, you’ll research financial risks, provide forecast analysis, and develop financial models that assist our team in providing fair and accurate valuation advice and ultimately help our clients enhance their deal value.

Responsibilities
  • Performing independent valuations for businesses, tangible and intangible assets and financial instruments including equity and debt securities, derivatives and options, for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, financial reporting and restructuring
  • Producing and analysing financial models and assessing commercial data which underlie financial forecasts
  • Leading in pitching for new work, including the preparation and presentation of proposals
  • Building and maintaining client relationships before, during and after engagements
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on valuation and valuation‑related services
  • Working closely with Partners and staff on client management, practice development and business development activities
About you
  • Possesses a Degree in Accounting or Business equivalent from a recognised university, or Professional Accounting qualification(s)
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant working experience preferably with related Business Valuation experience.
  • Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch.
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
  • Previous valuation experience in professional services will be advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in leading a team.
  • Good client management skills, authoritative and credible in a client conversation - both in terms of personal style and subject matter expertise.
