Job summary

A financial services firm in Singapore is seeking a candidate to grow the APAC Institutional equity business. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and executing trades across global markets. Candidates should have a degree, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in English and Mandarin. Entry-level candidates with a keen interest in financial markets are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform under pressure.
  • Sound understanding of equity markets and macroeconomic drivers.
  • Knowledge of CMFAS 1A, 5, 6, 6A is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in institutional sales or dealing is a plus.

Job Description
  • Work closely with the Team Head to grow APAC Institutional equity business.

  • Proactively engage and build strong relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, broker-dealers, ETF issuers

  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth through client acquisition and increased trading volume.

  • Provide all round trade execution services across global equity markets using multiple trading systems.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance execution quality and the overall client experience.

  • Provide timely market colour, trading ideas, and research insights to clients.

  • Liaise with counterparties and back office on account opening, trade settlement and corporate action matters.

Requirements
  • Degree in any relevant discipline.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; detail-oriented, able to perform effectively under pressure with a strong focus on teamwork.

  • Sound understanding in equity markets and macroeconomic drivers.

  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients).

  • Knowledge and proficiency in basic coding, AI adoption, and/or RPA are preferred and advantageous.

  • Certifications in CMFAS 1A, 5, 6, 6A will be advantageous.

  • Prior experience in institutional sales or dealing (buy-side or sell-side) will be considered a plus.

  • Willingness to work on public holidays when required.
