The Company

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support cross‑border capital markets transactions and regulatory matters within the financial services industry. The role works closely with business and compliance teams to draft, negotiate, and advise on complex financial products and strategic initiatives across APAC.

The Role
  • Provide legal advice on cross‑border transactional and regulatory matters, supporting APAC capital markets activities.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of capital markets and financial markets documentation.
  • Partner with business teams to support the execution of strategic initiatives, including advising on regulatory requirements and approval processes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and transactional risks, while offering practical and solutions‑oriented legal input on new products and initiatives.
  • Work closely with Compliance and internal Legal stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate key legal and regulatory developments relevant to businesses.
Your Profile
  • Qualified lawyer admitted in Singapore, Hong Kong, England & Wales, the United States, or another common‑law jurisdiction.
  • 4–7 years of relevant legal experience, gained in a leading law firm or financial services institution.
  • Experience advising financial institutions on cross‑border transactions and regulatory matters in Asia is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of laws relating to capital markets, securities, derivatives, structured finance, and related tax considerations.
  • Comfortable working in multinational, cross‑functional teams; familiarity with Singapore securities laws and MAS regulations is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of U.S. securities laws and banking regulations, and their impact on global business models, is a plus.
