DC Operations Shift Lead
About the Role

We are seeking experienced DC Operations Shift Leads to join our team in managing mission-critical data centre operations. In this role, you will lead a shift team to ensure smooth and reliable operations, handle escalations, and uphold compliance standards across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the DC shift team to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Allocate shift patterns, oversee handovers, and monitor task completion.
  • Manage escalations, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure SLA/KPI compliance.
  • Oversee incident management, ticketing, and service requests in line with SOPs.
  • Conduct routine DC operations, including rack/stack, cabling, equipment setup, and vendor management.
  • Drive onboarding, training, and competency reviews of shift members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation (SOPs, EOPs, escalation matrices, incident reports).
  • Represent the shift team during audits, reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Facilities, Service Delivery, and Security teams.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Data Centre environment, with 2 years in a team leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to draft SOPs, reports, and formal communications.
  • Proactive, with strong initiative in managing operations and incidents.Ability to coach, mentor, and supervise effectively.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night).
