Job summary

K2 PARTNERING SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a database administrator to manage production MS SQL Server and Oracle environments. The role covers cloud services across GCC regions, DAM implementations, encryption, access controls, and security-hardening practices.

You will also develop automation scripts, participate in incident RCAs, and create SOPs/DR runbooks for stakeholders. A degree in CS/IT/Engineering with 4+ years’ experience is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS/Azure GCC and DAM tools like Imperva
• Experience with encryption, access controls, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening

Responsibilities

• Install, patch, tune, and maintain MS SQL Server and Oracle databases; perform backups, recoveries, and cloning
• Administer AWS (RDS, Redshift) and Azure (Azure SQL, Managed Instance) in GCC environments and support cloud migrations
• Implement DAM solutions, TDE encryption, access controls, vulnerability remediation, and data masking for non-production environments
• Provide P1/P1 incident support with RCAs; develop scripts to automate administration, monitoring, and housekeeping
• Produce SOPs, DR runbooks, and architectural designs; present technical solutions to stakeholders

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Install, patch, tune, and maintain MS SQL Server and Oracle databases. Perform backups, recoveries, and database cloning.

• Administer AWS (RDS, Redshift) and Azure (Azure SQL, Managed Instance) databases in Singapore Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environments and support cloud migrations.

• Implement DAM solutions (e.g., Imperva), TDE encryption, access controls, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening. Administer data masking/scrambling for non-production environments.

• Provide P1/S1 incident support with RCA reports. Develop scripts to automate administration, monitoring, and housekeeping.

• Produce SOPs, DR runbooks, and architectural designs, and present technical solutions to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in CS/IT/Engineering + 4+ years managing production MS SQL Server and Oracle environments.

• Cloud & Security (6+ Months Each): AWS & Azure GCC experience, Database Activity Monitoring (DAM like Imperva), and Data Masking/Scrambling solutions.

• Database auditing, TDE/encryption, privileged access controls, vulnerability remediation, or security hardening. (Any 3)

• Execution Track Record (Past 2 Years):
  • 10+ DB refreshes/clones & 3+ DB migrations
  • 1+ Cloud migration project (AWS/Azure/GCC/RDS/Azure SQL)
  • 3+ P1/S1 incidents resolved with RCAs
  • 3+ Automation scripts built
  • 2+ Operational docs (SOP/DR/Runbook) authored with stakeholder briefings
