Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain DLP solutions across the organization’s network, endpoints, and cloud environments.
- Monitor and analyze DLP alerts and incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending remediation actions.
- Develop and enforce data protection policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to identify sensitive data and implement appropriate controls.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities related to data loss.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on data protection and DLP best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, threats, and technologies in data loss prevention and cybersecurity.
- Generate reports and metrics to communicate the effectiveness of DLP measures to management.
- Participate in incident response activities related to data breaches or data loss events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in implementing and managing DLP technologies (e.g., Symantec DLP, McAfee DLP, Forcepoint, Digital Guardian).
- Strong understanding of data protection regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with network security, endpoint security, and cloud security concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation to enhance DLP processes is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific DLP certifications are desirable.
