Job summary

Newbridge is seeking a Founding Data Scientist to lead our 0-1 AI-native data infrastructure from day one. This hands-on role is for a strong generalist eager to build from scratch alongside top-tier talent.

You will work on real platform problems from day one, with direct mentorship from the Lead and Head of Data Science, accelerating from model builder to product-minded AI builder. Ideal candidates have production ML experience, solid Python/SQL skills, and a passion for GenAI, feature

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Data Science / Applied ML with production exposure.
• Strong Python and SQL. Comfortable with pandas, scikit-learn, and basic deep learning.
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals: feature engineering, model selection, metrics, regularization, and statistical validation.
• Curiosity for GenAI stack - you have played with LLMs, RAG, vector DBs, or built side projects.
• High agency, fast learner, loves ambiguity of a 0-1 environment. You care about shipping.
• BS/MS in CS, ML, Stats, Math or related field, or equivalent proven experience.

Responsibilities

• Model Development: Build, train, and evaluate ML models under guidance of senior team members for platform features like data classification, entity resolution, semantic tagging, and quality checks.
• Data Exploration & Prototyping: Dive into complex, high-dimensional datasets, uncover patterns, run experiments, and rapidly prototype new AI-native ideas.
• Production Support: Help productionize models - write clean, testable Python code, build evaluation harnesses, and contribute to monitoring pipelines.
• Learn & Ship: Contribute to automation and integration of AI into our core data stack.
