Job summary

Optimum Solutions Pte Ltd seeks an senior data scientist to design scalable data pipelines and backend services for data ingestion and processing. You will build, deploy, and maintain production-ready ML models while analyzing data to identify AI/ML opportunities and validating hypotheses.

You will collaborate with data engineers to develop data models and analytics solutions, document model development and pipelines, and support knowledge transfer within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant technical field is required.
• 8+ years of experience in data science with a track record of production-scale ML solutions.
• Hands-on ML development, deployment, and collaboration with data engineering.
• Experience with Databricks and cloud environments such as AWS.
• Proven leadership of DS initiatives for large-scale data platforms.
• Familiarity with IoT/data from industrial sensors and messaging protocols.
• Exposure to GenAI, LLMs or Retrieval-Augmented Generation is a plus.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science, with a strong track record of delivering production-scale ML solutions.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning model development, deployment, and data engineering collaboration.
• Experience with modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks) and cloud environments such as AWS.
• Proven experience leading data science initiatives for large-scale, complex data platforms.
• Knowledge of IoT and industrial messaging protocols (e.g. MQTT, AMQP, OPC-UA).
• Experience with robotics, sensor, or industrial data processing is an advantage.
• Exposure to GenAI, LLM, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) data pipelines is preferred.
