Job description
About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Data Quality & Enablement Analyst to play a dual-critical role. This unique position sits at the intersection of the data engineering and business intelligence functions. You will be the guardian of the data integrity in Snowflake and the champion who empowers business teams to leverage Tableau for maximum impact. If you are a technical expert who also loves teaching, coaching, and driving data literacy, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Data Quality & Technical Validation (50%):

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases to validate data ingestion and transformation logic within the Snowflake data platform.
  • Perform end-to-end data validation using advanced SQL, comparing data between source systems (e.g., PostgreSQL) and the target Snowflake environment to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Validate and quality-check Snowflake stored procedures and complex SQL scripts used for ETL/ELT processing.
  • Develop and utilize Python scripts for automated data comparison, test utilities, and process automation.
  • Utilize JIRA to meticulously manage test cycles, track defects, and report on testing progress and quality metrics.

Tableau Coaching & Business Enablement (50%):

  • Act as a Tableau Coach and trusted advisor to business teams, partnering with them to identify and implement high-impact use cases that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Tableau training programs, including bootcamps, workshops, and hands-on sessions for diverse user groups, from beginners to citizen developers.
  • Provide ongoing one-on-one coaching and support to foster self-sufficiency and innovation in data exploration and visualization.
  • Champion data literacy initiatives across the organization, enabling users to confidently explore, interpret, and communicate data-driven insights.
  • Maintain, refresh, and optimize enterprise Tableau dashboards to ensure they are accurate, relevant, and aligned with evolving business objectives.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users to validate new dashboard functionality and usability.
Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in a data-focused role, with proven expertise in Tableau and BI tools.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, validation, and analysis.
  • A basic understanding of Snowflake data warehouse architecture and scripting (SQL, stored procedures).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on projects involving Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
  • Exposure to other BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Qlik.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks; experience supporting Gen-AI enablement initiatives is a significant plus.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA for task and defect management.
  • Proficiency in using Python for data scripting, automation, or testing.
