Job summary

Vortexa Ltd in Singapore is seeking a junior Data Analyst to join the Data Analysis team. You will focus on ensuring the quality and integrity of datasets and support internal data queries while learning our tools.

You will work with global analysts, write Python scripts, and explore AI-powered approaches to improve data processes. The role suits a recent graduate or someone with up to two years’ experience who is curious and meticulous.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in a quantitative, scientific or analytical discipline.
• Strong numeracy and data skills.
• Working knowledge of Python sufficient for data investigation and automation.
• Active interest in AI tools and their practical application.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills across a global team.
• Problem-solving mindset with drive to find root causes.
• Nice to have SQL familiarity for data queries.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily data quality processes across datasets.
• Investigate data issues from internal channels or client queries.
• Diagnose root causes and apply fixes.
• Map and reconcile data between internal and external sources.
• Handle data support requests and validate data for clients.
• Collaborate with R&D to identify data error patterns and improvements.
• Write Python scripts to support investigations and automate tasks.
• Identify opportunities to systematise manual processes using AI or scripting.
