Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer to provide operational support for data platforms. The role involves collaborating closely with product teams and vendors to design and integrate solutions while ensuring compliance with IT security policies. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, and strong skills in Python and SQL. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

Summary

The role provides operational support for data platforms , working with product teams, vendors, and end-users to design, deploy, and integrate solutions. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with IT security policies, establishing monitoring processes, onboarding projects for BI needs (data ingestion, visualization, governance), and conducting testing to maintain platform reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with data product team and business end-users to implement and support data platforms using best-of-breed technology and methodology.
• Work closely with product vendors to design, deploy and integrate different data platforms with the organization’s ecosystem.
• Ensure that the deployed platforms follow the IT security and compliance policies.
• Establish processes and develop monitoring mechanisms to detect the availability of the platforms.
• Act as the solution architect and develop the end-to-end onboarding of projects onto the data platforms deployed in the organization for different BI needs such as data ingestion, visualization, data governance.
• Perform testing on the deployed data platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or relevant
• Minimum 5 years of Data Engineering experience
• Python and SQL
• Data Visualisation tools - Tableau, Power BI or Informatica
• Snowflake and Denodo will be advantageous
• Willing to learn attitude and keen to provide operational support on data platforms.
