Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Platform Engineer to support the development and optimisation of the company's Data Platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud infrastructure management, with a passion for improving data management processes. This role offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative environment that values knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Location: Nearest MRT (Buona Vista)

Salary: Up to $11K

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 12-month contract (extendable based on performance)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines across the data lifecycle (raw data to consumption-ready data).
• Co-develop data quality pipelines with the data governance team to manage and remediate data quality issues.
• Implement data governance policies to ensure data access and control.
• Ensure the security and reliability of the Data Platform.
• Provide expert guidance on the use of technologies like Databricks, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and more.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, proof-of-concepts, and production rollouts using best‑of‑breed industry tools.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the Data Platform technology stack.

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline).
• Strong experience in SQL and Python; knowledge of Spark is a plus.
• Expertise in data modelling and architecture.
• Experience with data management platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Cloudera.
• Experience in cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data infrastructure management.
