Job description

We are looking for a Data Modeller with deep expertise in enterprise system migration and modernisation programs, preferably in the financial domain, who will play a pivotal role in decommissioning legacy systems and rebuilding future-ready platforms usingPostgreSQL DB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling for enterprise-wide financial system modernisation and core platform replacement initiatives.
• Data remodelling supporting transactional, analytical, and regulatory workloads.
• Perform legacy data discovery, profiling, and create detailed source-to-target mappings (STTM) for migrations involving hundreds of tables.
• Define and execute end-to-end data migration strategies from legacy environments to modern PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with solution architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure modelling aligns with business and technology needs.
• Produce high-quality deliverables: ER diagrams, data dictionaries, data mapping, migration runbooks, reconciliation reports.
• Enforce data governance, quality, masking, and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• 7+ yearsof hands-on data modelling and data migration experience for complex systems and handling high volume data migration.
• Prior experience in migrating complex data from legacy systems(SQL/MP, Enscribe) to PostgreSQL.
• Deep knowledge ofPostgreSQLperformance and migration features (large-scale COPY, FDW, partitioning, parallel query).

Good to have:

• Knowledge of data modelling tools (PlantUML, Draw.io).
• Experience with reconciliation frameworks.
• Previous projects involved reporting migrations or reference data modernisation.
