Job summary

D L RESOURCES PTE LTD is seeking specialists to support a strategic data migration and reporting transformation project. You will map legacy data sources to new data marts, redevelop scripts and workflows, validate migrated outputs, and produce comprehensive data documentation.

Candidates should have strong SQL, SAS or Python skills, experience with Hive/Impala, Oozie, and Hadoop-based platforms, and prior data warehousing or data migration project exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, ETL development, data warehousing, reporting, or data migration projects.
• Strong SQL, SAS or Python scripting and data manipulation skills.
• Hands-on experience with Hue, Hive, Impala, Oozie.
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL, or data migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyse existing tables, reports, datasets, and data processing workflows sourced from legacy data marts and manual processes.
• Review and understand transformation logic, data dependencies, and business rules.
• Identify data sources, lineage, reporting requirements, and current-state processes.
• Engage business to understand reporting methodologies and requirements.
• Perform source-to-target mapping between legacy sources and new data marts.
• Analyse and document field mappings, transformation rules, and business logic.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain SQL scripts using Hive and Impala via Hue.
• Build scripts for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Rebuild data tables and reporting datasets using the new data marts as sources.
• Configure and support workflow scheduling with Oozie.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across sources and marts.
• Produce data documentation, dictionaries, lineage, and runbooks.
