Job description

Job Description

Traveloka is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Senior Data Analytics Lead to lead the analytics function for our rapidly growing Travel Activities vertical.

This is a high‑impact role in which you will serve as the primary data partner for the business. You will be responsible for building our data culture from the ground up, transforming raw data into business strategy, and directly influencing the product roadmap. Your core mission is to ensure that we make smart, fast, and accurate decisions by providing actionable insights, driving a robust experimentation framework, and defining what success looks like.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Drive Actionable Insights: Go beyond surface‑level reporting. You will lead deep‑dive analyses to uncover opportunities for growth, optimization, and product improvement within the Travel Activities ecosystem (e.g., user behavior, pricing elasticity, inventory, and conversion funnels).

  • Champion Experimentation: Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments to drive continuous improvement. You will build and own the experimentation roadmap to validate hypotheses and quantify the impact of new features.

  • Support Strategic Decision‑Making: Act as a strategic thought partner to the vertical's leadership. You will provide the timely analysis and clear recommendations needed to support strategic planning, business reviews, and day‑to‑day operational decisions.

  • Define and Measure Success: Develop, own, and evangelize the key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks for the Travel Activities vertical. You will build and maintain core dashboards and reports that serve as the "single source of truth" for business performance.

Requirements
Technical Proficiency
  • Expert‑level SQL for querying and manipulating large, complex datasets.

  • Strong proficiency in Python (or R) for advanced statistical analysis, data modeling, and automation (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to build effective and clear dashboards.

Analytical Rigor
  • Proven experience (e.g., 5‑7+ years) in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science, preferably in a high‑growth tech, e‑commerce, or travel environment.

  • You are accustomed to tackling ambiguous problems with complex, custom analyses (e.g., user segmentation, LTV modeling, causal inference, funnel optimization).

Leadership and Collaboration
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. You can translate complex data findings into a compelling story for non‑technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and obtain buy‑in from senior stakeholders (e.g., General Managers, Directors, VPs) to influence strategy and drive action.

  • Strong business acumen and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.

If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over‑achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
