Job description

Data Governance Lead

We’re on a mission to build a world-class data platform that powers research, AI, risk, and execution across multi-asset workflows. To get there, we’re looking for a hands‑on Data Governance Lead who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and shape the standards, systems, and culture that will define how data flows, scales, and drives decisions across the firm.

Responsibilities
  • Design the Blueprint: Architect and implement a future-proof data governance framework—from discovery and sourcing to permissioning and stewardship—tailored for a multi-asset alternative investment manager.
  • Raise the Bar: Establish rigorous data acquisition and audit processes, ensuring every dataset meets compliance, quality, and business standards.
  • Set the Standards: Collaborate with engineering to define normalization, classification, and metadata protocols across asset classes.
  • Secure with Confidence: Lead sensitive data policy creation and enforce permissioning frameworks that balance access, control, and cost transparency.
  • Drive Architecture Adoption: Partner with data engineers to embed medallion architecture principles across our data ecosystem.
  • Champion Quality: Build systems that ensure data speed, completeness, and accuracy—automated, scalable, and trusted.
  • Illuminate the Landscape: Maintain a standardized data catalogue and user documentation to unlock discovery, transparency, and usability.
  • Advocate for governance principles across tech and business teams, making data integrity a shared mission.
