Job summary

Thales Group in Singapore is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop and optimize data pipelines, and to manage databases with a focus on security and performance.

You will collaborate with regional teams in France, Europe, and Asia, build Power BI reports, implement data quality controls, and document processes to enable data-driven decision making.

A Master’s degree and at least three years’ experience in data engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, information security, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Data Engineering/Analytics.
• Strong experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Qliksense, Tableau) with at least 3 years in Power BI.
• Experience in ETL: KNIME (mandatory min 1 year), Power Query, Talend.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Power Platform, SharePoint).
• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, M, VBA, Python.
• Strong understanding of database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Access) and RLS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize data pipelines using KNIME, Power Query and SQL.
• Manage databases ensuring performance and security across owners.
• Propose and integrate new data management technologies to optimize operations.
• Ensure data quality with robust Row-Level Security and data cleaning.
• Create and maintain Power BI reports; document technical processes.
