Job summary

InfoCepts is seeking aspiring / proven data engineers to join us in Singapore. The role focuses on developing and maintaining ETL workflows with SSIS, transforming data from multiple sources into the enterprise data warehouse, and tuning SQL for reporting performance.

You will translate business requirements into technical specs, collaborate with stakeholders, support system upgrades, and maintain technical documentation throughout development, UAT, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on SSIS and MicroStrategy.
• Hands-on experience in ETL development, data warehousing and data modelling.
• Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, query tuning and performance optimisation.
• Experience developing MicroStrategy schema objects, reports and dashboards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to business users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL workflows using SSIS to extract, transform and load data into the enterprise data warehouse.

• Write and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures and views to ensure efficient data processing and report performance.
• Schedule, monitor and troubleshoot SSIS packages and MicroStrategy jobs, resolving data load failures and performance issues within SLAs.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of reported data.
• Support system upgrades, migrations and deployments across development, UAT and production environments, including regression testing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, data dictionaries, operational runbooks and change records.
• Provide production support and incident resolution, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
