Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Data Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of reliable data platforms and analytics-ready datasets in a cloud environment. The role targets junior to mid-level candidates eager to build practical data engineering capabilities using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into technical tasks, design pipelines, and ensure data quality across layers while adhering to government ICT

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in CS, IS, Data Eng, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
• Solid understanding of SQL and data modelling concepts.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data warehousing or lakehouse architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data issues.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Manage data across layers from raw to cleansed, business-ready datasets.
• Ensure data quality through validation, lineage tracking, and access management.
• Monitor pipeline performance and document remediation actions for reliable data delivery.
• Support cloud-based data solutions while complying with security and governance requirements.
• Contribute to enterprise data capability-building for reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled use cases.
