Job Summary
Seeking a talented Data Engineer to build and deploy data pipelines and scalable machine learning models. This role collaborates with data scientists and software engineers to translate research prototypes into robust, production-ready solutions.
Mandatory Skill Set
- Must have a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related studies;
- Must have at least 5 years of experience as Data Engineer;
- Must have work experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and interactive dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker;
- Must have hands‑on experience in Python and SQL;
- Must have work experience in applying ETL/ELT tools and methodologies to prepare, transform, and load data into designated target systems.
Desired Skill Set
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA);
- Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala, C++) is a plus;
- Experience in best practices such as DataOps and MLOps;
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms such as BigQuery, Kafka, GCP, AWS and their data engineering and machine learning products and services;
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD;
- Cloud and data certifications are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain cloud-based data platforms for large-scale ingestion, storage, and processing;
- Manage enterprise data warehousing and centralized data solutions;
- Evaluate and integrate new data technologies to enhance platform capabilities;
- Support infrastructure for enterprise data platforms and machine learning workloads;
- Build and maintain reliable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing;
- Implement data quality validation and monitoring to ensure accurate and timely data;
- Apply ETL/ELT methodologies to transform and load data into target systems;
- Develop scalable dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker);
- Implement data governance practices, including cataloging, lineage, and access controls;
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members while proactively resolving technical issues.
